Cookie policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
This policy explains what is stored on your device when you use muirendpharmacy.co.uk. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
The short version
This website sets no cookies of its own. We use no analytics, no advertising, no social media pixels and no tracking of any kind. Nothing follows you around, and nothing you read on our health pages is shared with an advertiser.
A very small number of cookies can be set by services we depend on, and only in specific situations — when you use one of our forms, or when you open online booking. They are listed in full below.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make a site work. Others are used to count visitors or to build a profile of you for advertising. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we must ask your permission before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.
What we store
Our cookie choice
When you answer the cookie notice at the bottom of the screen, we remember your answer so we do not ask again. We store this in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie:
This is strictly necessary — it exists only to record your own choice — so it does not need consent. There is nothing else. We set no session cookie, no visitor ID and no analytics cookie.
Third-party cookies, and when they can appear
Services that do not set cookies
- Google Fonts loads the typefaces used on every page. It sets no cookies, but Google receives your IP address as part of the request.
- Unsplash serves some of the photographs on our service pages. It sets no cookies, but receives your IP address as part of the image request.
- Postcode lookup inside booking uses postcodes.io to check an address. It sets no cookies.
- Google Maps is a plain link on our contact page, not an embedded map. Nothing is sent to Google Maps unless you click it, and it then opens in a new tab under Google's own terms.
What we do not do
- No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any other analytics tool
- No advertising or remarketing tags
- No Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn or other social media pixels
- No session recording or heatmap tools
- No profiling, and no automated decisions about you
- No sharing of health-related browsing with any advertising platform
Because we run no analytics, we cannot see which health pages you looked at. That is deliberate.
Your choices
The cookie notice lets you accept or reject non-essential services. Rejecting them does not break the site — every page, every phone number and every form still works. Rejecting means the booking window is not loaded for you; you can still book by calling us on 0141 637 2014.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will bring the notice back.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies for any site through your browser settings:
Blocking all cookies may stop the anti-spam check on our forms from working. If that happens, call us instead.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any other non-essential tracking, we will update this page and ask for your consent before anything is set. The date at the top shows when this policy was last changed.
