Muirend Pharmacy has been serving the community from its current location since the 1950s. After several changes in ownership over the years, the pharmacy has been proudly owned by James McKeever since 2009, returning to its original name Muirend Pharmacy.

Our commitment to patient care and attention to detail remains our top priority. We take pride in retaining our pharmacists and key staff, ensuring that you always receive consistent, high-quality service from familiar faces.

We are also proud to be a training site for foundation pharmacists. After completing their masters degree, foundation pharmacists undertake structured training to develop their clinical skills, demonstrate their knowledge, and uphold the high standards the public expects from their local pharmacist. Supporting both undergraduate pharmacy students and foundation pharmacists keeps us at the forefront of new clinical developments while ensuring we provide the best possible care. In 2025, we welcomed our fourteenth foundation pharmacist, marking well over a decade of investing in the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
