About our prescribers
Independent prescribing pharmacist
Peter McCarthy MPharm
Peter is an independent prescribing pharmacist — qualified to assess, diagnose and prescribe autonomously within his clinical competence. He runs private consultations across a range of conditions and leads our travel health service, including as the clinician behind Muirend's Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
Superintendent pharmacist
James McKeever MRPharmS
James is the superintendent pharmacist and owner of Muirend Pharmacy. He oversees clinical governance and patient safety across all services, and is available for consultations and clinical assessments across a range of private services.
