Terms of use
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the website at muirendpharmacy.co.uk. Please read them before using the site. By using the site you accept them; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Muirend Pharmacy Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, trading as Muirend Pharmacy from 521–523 Clarkston Road, Muirend, Glasgow, G44 3PN.
Our pharmacy premises are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), registration number 1042294. Our Superintendent Pharmacist is James McKeever (GPhC 2042490).
You can contact us on 0141 637 2014 or through our contact page.
2. These are website terms only
These terms cover your use of this website. They do not set the terms of any pharmacy service.
NHS services are provided under our contract with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the rules of NHS Scotland. Private services have their own terms, including price and suitability, which we explain to you at the point of service and before you agree to anything. Nothing on this website changes those terms, and nothing here forms a contract to provide treatment.
3. This site is not clinical advice
Everything on this website is general information. It is not a substitute for clinical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional, and it is not tailored to you.
Do not delay seeking advice, or ignore advice you have been given, because of something you have read here. Always speak to a pharmacist, your GP or another healthcare professional about your own situation.
We take care to keep our health information accurate and current, but medicines, services and guidance change. If anything on this site conflicts with advice given to you directly by a healthcare professional, follow the advice you were given directly.
In an emergency call 999. For urgent advice when we are closed, call NHS 24 on 111.
4. Using our online forms
Our repeat prescription request form, Pharmaself24 sign-up and chat assistant send your details to the pharmacy team. When you use them:
- They are not for anything urgent. We only read them during opening hours. If you need help now, phone us, call NHS 24 on 111, or call 999.
- A request is not a guarantee. A repeat prescription request is a request to your GP practice. Your GP decides whether to authorise it, and we can only dispense what they issue.
- Give accurate information. Please make sure your name, date of birth, contact details and medicines are correct. Wrong details can delay your prescription or make it unsafe for us to act on.
- Only submit your own details, or those of someone you are authorised to act for, such as your child or a person you care for.
- Do not send sensitive clinical detail you would rather discuss in person. Call us or come in instead.
We may decline or seek clarification on any request where we have a clinical or professional reason to do so. How we handle the information you send is explained in our privacy policy.
5. Online booking
Our online booking tool is provided by DigiPharma and opens in its own window when you choose to use it. Booking is subject to DigiPharma's own terms and privacy notice as well as these terms.
A booking is a request for an appointment. It is confirmed when we confirm it. All appointments are subject to a suitability check — for some services we may need to ask you questions, and there are people for whom a treatment is not appropriate. If we cannot go ahead, we will tell you and, where you have paid, we will refund you.
Please tell us as early as you can if you cannot make an appointment, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
6. Our content
All content on this website — text, photographs, design, layout and code — belongs to Muirend Pharmacy Ltd or is used under licence, unless we say otherwise. Some photographs are licensed from third parties.
You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, adapt or use our content commercially without our written permission.
The Muirend Pharmacy name and the "M" mark are used in connection with our GPhC-registered pharmacy. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you.
7. Acceptable use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the site in a way that breaks any law or regulation
- Submit false, misleading or abusive information through our forms
- Submit another person's information without their authority
- Send spam, malware or anything else harmful
- Try to get unauthorised access to the site, its systems or any connected service
- Interfere with the site's operation, or place an unreasonable load on it, including by automated scraping or bulk form submission
- Attempt to bypass the anti-spam or security measures protecting our forms
We may block access or refuse to act on submissions where these rules are broken.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep this site available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice, including for maintenance.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Loss or damage from your use of, or inability to use, this website
- Errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the general information published on it
- Loss or damage caused by a virus or other harmful material you pick up from using the site
- The content, availability or practices of any third-party website or service we link to or embed
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded; or our professional and clinical responsibilities as a registered pharmacy.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing here requires you to give up a legal right.
9. Third-party services
This website relies on, links to, or embeds services run by other organisations:
- DigiPharma — online appointment booking, loaded only when you open it
- Formspark — receives and forwards our form and chat submissions
- Stripe — card payments, if you reach a payment step in booking
- Google Fonts and Unsplash — typefaces and some photographs
- Google Maps — opens in a new tab if you choose to view our location
- Links to NHS Scotland, NHS 24, regulators and health charities
These services have their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement. Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain what data reaches them.
10. Accessibility and complaints
Our accessibility statement sets out how we are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the issues we know about, and how to report a barrier. You never need to use this website to get our services — call us and we will help you directly.
If you are unhappy with anything, our complaints procedure explains how to tell us and how to escalate.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, that does not mean we have given up the right to do so later.
13. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of Scotland, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the place where you live.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: 0141 637 2014, our contact page, or write to the Superintendent Pharmacist, Muirend Pharmacy, 521–523 Clarkston Road, Muirend, Glasgow, G44 3PN.
